New pickup. Sex?

I agree Male.But picking the smallest Festae out of a group won't help on getting a female.At least the couple of females I have gotten were the larger ones in the group

well i chose the smallest that had the black on the dorsal, in hopes for female. Any other ideas at that age? I just don't have the room to grow out a few of them, and don't want the aggression of a male, or the looks imo.

Might be helpful if you guys would explain what about it makes you think its a male.

and sick_lid...Id have to say that my experience with festae, past and current, is that the female is more aggressive than the male.
 
Thanks for that. Hopefully it won't be too bad. By the time it matures a little the new tank will be up for them to have more space.

On another note, I've been reading a little into these "la ceiba" species, and isn't it pretty much the same thing as the loiselli? It's confusing, and I can't really find many pictures of the 2 as juveniles like mine to distinguish between them..
