If both pikes came from the same store, and the same tank, then Crenicichla sveni would be the best guess. Aren't sp. belly crawler from Colombia? As are Sveni? I've often seen them mixed together as imports.

Yup, they are mixed quite often. I think those are his tanks though. Are the last two pictures of different fish or the same one? I thought they were the same fish, since he said there were only two pikes in there I thought. If they are two different pikes, then he needs to get better pictures...lol.

no they are of the same fish, i tried getting better pics, hes just too skittish right now.

Now as far as food goes, what do you guys feed your pikes? So far all of mine are on bloodworms, brine shrimp, and smelt. Anything else good to feed them? I throw in an occasional feeder for fun

mysis, chopped/whole earthworms, algae wafers, sinking pellets of almost any kind, chopped market shrimp, catfish nuggets, and crickets/grasshoppers.... Just play around and see what they will eat. They are pretty greedy, should take just about anything in time!
