New Pickup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you move your existing rocks around, all the fish will find 'new' territories and she can more easily find a place in the shuffle.

Will try that tonight even though I have the tank situated the way I like it :irked:, thanks guys

how are they doing with the african/southamerican mix? iv heard mixed results?

Thanks. They're doing good. No one messes with the jack dempsey and the jack dempsey doesn't mess with anyone. The only trouble makers in there is my Red Top Zebra (Metriaclima Emmiltos) and my black convict. My two male red empress occasionally go after each other, but not often. It's mostly over territories. I was going to rearrange the tank last night but didn't have time, I'm going to try rearranging the tank tonight and see if it helps any.

That's a beautiful tank! What kind of fish is the one that swims by at 0:13 seconds in the video?

Thanks. That is one of my Protomelas Taeniolatus "Red Empress". :)

Him and my Nimbochromis Livingstonii are my favorite. The livingstonii is the biggest fish in the video...hes not showing his spots. Here is a pic of him showing his spots, and they can get even darker than this depending on his mood.

nice pick up dude, you will not be dissapointed with it, they are great fish and they colour up really nicely. I had one in my old african tank, but they sold me 1x of them, and then 2x Astatotilapia "thick skin" http://www.aquariumlife.net/profile-images/thick-skin.jpg they look like that, very similar to yours, so just beware if you try and buy more that they might get confused and give you another astatotilapia species such as brownae or burtoni.
