New pickups, nicaraguans!

ok so geo brasiliensis are not meant to stop growing until 9-12" they slow down at about 7" but still grow a bit just not as much as the growth rate as juvies.

thanks, I've googled around a lot too and nothing! Some dude was convinced in my old thread about them that they were some type of gymnogeos and he was so far off.. I don't care what the are now, I like them and the fit in a 30gallon fine.

I just picked up 2 nice 2in Nics at Pet smart, I know there delivery schedule so I get them right from the box!...

I heard petsmart had them too but I haven't seen them in any Michigan petsmarts and I've been to like 5 of them since they supposedly had them.

well thats all worked out fine then, they could just be stunted brasiliensis tho thats my guess.

no the guy I got them from had like 50 of them that he had bred himself, I only went home with 6 of them. Lost 1 randomly during a water change other than that they've been doing great. They're not stunted either, I had them all in a 55gallon alone for a while and they never grew so I put them in a 30 thinking they were nearly full grown.

probably grew up with a rough crowd. I have some fish that are supposed to be so mean that grew up in some dumb asses african tank and now that they're in my care with other large cichlids they wouldn't hurt a fly. Do you have any pictures of your nic, and how much did it set you back for a full grown male?

lol nicaraguans are wusses IMO u must have got an oddball unless ure calling the guppys glass banges?!?!?

Nice Nics are cool pretty plane when small but if you get a good quality male they look great when mature nice gold orange color to them
