I went to the LFS yesterday just to look and I saw some sens that looked very large and different than a CB sen and I asked the owner whether they were CB or WC and he said they were WC. I have been looking for a WC sen for a while now and finally had a chance to pick one up, however was just stopping in on my way to lunch so I couldn't get it right then. I came back about 2-3 hours later and was doing the usual and closely inspecting it and upon doing that noticed it had some bichir worms. That delayed me until today so I could set-up a QT and gets some meds. Well I go back today to get one and notice in the tank next to it a baby teugelsi about 3". I didn't really give a second thought to getting it until I looked at what else was in the tank…… 3-4 5" peacock cichlids. I was on the edge of whether to get it or not, but still said no to my self. Later when I told the assistant that I would like the WC sen I glanced over at the tank the teugelsi was in and saw the cichlids pecking at it. I of course couldn't leave it like that and was thinking that 2 polys are better than 1……….. so I got it. The sen is about 10" and the teugelsi is 3". Both have bichir worms and are in QT for a couple days.

That last pic is a 20 tall and the teugelsi is in the back left corner. Very skinny right now, but hopefully will be nice and chunky in a couple weeks.

Nice, love the big sen and good on you for taking the teug home. Wish I could find a teug to rescue :)

Very nice. I have been looking for a teugelsi for a long time now. They dont seem to be readily available around here.

What are bichir worms? I didn't know there was a worm that was peculiar to polys. Are they an external parasite?
