What are bichir worms? I didn't know there was a worm that was peculiar to polys. Are they an external parasite?

yep as others said it's an external parasite that is poly specific. The teugelsi is CB but also has them. I'm assuming it got them from being on the same filtration as the WC senegals.

Teugelsi ate some bloodworms last night, but was very picky as to which ones he ate. I haven't tried to feed the senegalus yet, because I'm going to put him on the same feeding schedule as my other polys which is going to be fed today.
