Also forgot to mention that I’m an idiot and forgot to get air pumps with the sponge filters I got?? I paid like 60$ for all this stuff and forgot the most important

Although the picture does not show very well, it would appear as if your new Otocinclus has quite a long nose? It does not look like regular otos (most often than not, O. affinis). Care to show a more detailed set of views? (including a lateral view).

Here’s a bottom picture. He is a little bigger than most otos I’ve seenThanks for posting. Hard to tell with otos. A side view may be more informative. Look nice anyway!.
this photo would suggest O.macrospilus imo but there are three types very similar so could be any one of those.

I know little about Otocinclus species. But I congratulate myself on suspecting it was not one of the most commonly seen otos. The pre-caudal black blotch covers the entire caudal peduncle, as a broad circular band.
