Usually cichlids and rays are a bad mix because of how territorial cichlids are. Good luck with those rays, i had to get rid of my cichlid because it kept biting the ray everytime it cruized over to its side of the tank.

I'm hoping that I can make it work in the 220g. If not, I'll find some place else for the cichlids. The only one the seems to be at all territorial or aggressive is the flowerhorn.

nice fish you have there , what cam did you get?

I just use a Cannon Powershot SD630. Not the best cam, but it works OK.

nice fish... ;)

Nice!! The Crenicichla collection is growing!! :D That johanna is looking pimp!!! :D

BTW...thast DEFINATELY not a sveni...;). One of the more spangled pikes, perhaps anthurus? NICE grab!!! Definately one of the more 'rare' ones. Bugger to ID sometimes as well! Either way it looks male!!

Belly Crawler is looking great as well!! Keep it up!!!

Thanks guys! Yeah, some of the saxtilis pikes can be a b***h to ID, obviously. Especially since when I originally posted the pics of him, Scatocephalus ID'd him as a sveni, and P_P agreed! Oh, these tricky little pikes! It's all good though, he looks great and he's growing like a weed.

I believe that the pike in question IS cr. anthurus, I think you're right, P_P.
