That seems to be a very nice DSLR I suggest you forget the tripod for now and concentrate more on learning how to fully use it and the various lighting tricks...

Here's an update. Can't believe the growth on some of these fish in 8 months. Lost the GT this week though. Gonna have to find a new one.
