Hi guys and gals. Took some new pics last night of my biggest tank and was excited to share em with all of you. Some are cloudy but the JD was playing with a soggy algae wafer and making a mess. I had just fed them. Tankmates are GT, JD female (ruler of tank), FM, 2 plecos, LG mouth Bass (will be releasing him soon), Sunfish (releasing him soon too). I caught the bass and sunny in a minnow trap last fall and thought I'd try em out. They grew FAST! no pics of them tho.

Also, can anyone tell if my GT is male or not? It's getting a little "whip" started on the tip of its dorsal. Thanks

Hope you like em:D

wow nice tank !!! looks great. love the back ground

Thanks I've tried to keep it kinda simple. Thats why I've only used the "easy" plants :D 2 Anubias nana and 1 Barteri in there. they get nibbled a bit but not much. Background is from Drs Foster n Smith online. got the plants from them too

"Ok explain the process you took to set this one up.. i have a 90 to and i cant get it clear maybe i need more filtration. or less fish"

I filled it then added the gravel and wood which was already soaking in another tank for a year. That removed most of the tannins that would stain the water. The tank isn't near any windows but gets a tiny bit of sun for the first hour or so in the morning and thats it, so no algae problems. I only feed once per day now which helps... sometimes 2x on weekends. And I do water changes each Sunday. I remove all the wood, plants, and rocks, and this lowers the water to about 3-4" below the top of the glass. Then I drain it til its almost half empty. SO... thats around 40% I'd say for water changes.

For filtration I use 2 AC110's and have 2 powerheads pushing debris around. One at each end (you can see them in the pics if you look close). Its a little cloudy cause I had just fed them Krill about 10 minutes before I wiped the glass down and took the pics.

maybe you're having a bacteria bloom or something? That would make it cloudy but would clear up in a couple days

My GT lives up to his name, along with being territorial he wont let others fight without joining in....

The JD, but since the GT has discovered red worms (smaller earthworms) he/she's growing very fast. Was picky and grew very slowly til it reached the 3" mark then has taken off.

Is the GT a male??? I can't tell
