All I am saying is that my hermit crab came stock with a sort of side twisted shell and he killed my turbo snail and took over the shell, just struck me as odd, like seeing a camaro with a mustang front end.

I think when someone throws a bunch of turbo snails in their aquarium, they eventually die for what ever reasons. Then, the hermits take over the snail shells. I find it hard to believe a hermit can kill a healthy turbo snail and extract it from its shell.
