thanks vrwc, i had a few more in there but im reducing them back as the grow keeping my favorites. im looking for a home for aro, want a nice home for him though so not letting anyone have him... i'd like to end up with two to four large guys that get on, really want the butti to play nice!-) anyone know what type my flowerhorn is?
If the FH is the first pic in the second post I believe it is a female ZZ based on the lack of kok. When displaying fins, is there a second flower line on the top fin? Sorry I can't be more definitive, but I hope it helps.

cheers hokie, well theres no flowers on the dorsal, i have a small one in there that has a spot so im pretty sure thats female... like you said tho at close to 6inch you think he'd have a kok? i'll google zz, he or she is right character either way!

Wow how on earth did you get fish that cool in the UK, I always had to pay an arm and a leg to get anything halfway decent
lol thanks strat, just trawl the local shops and internet, most of them were babys when i got em... theres some pretty good shops in kent the only fish i paid real money for was the arro, £95 eek... the tank only cost me £80second hand of ebay, filthy an no lid though! theres some good mail order fish shops around, try tyne valley aquatics, give them a bell and they are very helpful and will prob order what you want and send it out heatpacked... i had a ebjd turned up fine and healthy. good luck.
