It's safer to keep polys with sand as gravel can get stuck in there throats. all my upper jaws love my plants and regularly lay in the plants, perhaps to avoid my larger lower jaws!!

do you mean gravel not sand? cause yours are in gravel.

My new endli turned out to be a surface cruiser! He swims along the surface looking for food and now my senegal is following by example. It just looks awesome cruisin' along the top like a little shark. So cool...
