  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He's identical to my Juvie Venz.. =)

Venny, and a nice one at that. You'll enjoy it. They may not be as flashy as some of the other pikes, but I have yet to keep another species that has as much personality as these do.

Well thanks for the id guys....But i am confused as all hell. I'm lookin at all these pics online, and i cannot tell the difference between the sp. Venezuela and Xingu II!!!!!! I'm lookin at snookn's Xingu II and it looks imo EXACTLY like the one i have. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two?

Do juvie Xingu II not have spots on their face?

Johns doesn't appear to be sp. 'xingu II', in actuality its most likely true sp. 'lugubris'. Been wrong before though . . . Yours though, IS 100% different, definitely sp. 'venezuela'.

The coloration is off for one thing, the suborbital markings are different, just two different pikes. Sorry dude, you've got sp. 'venezuela'. Still a great pike though. :)

Haha, Nah Peanut...i'm just fine having a "Venny"! Really diggin this guy, gets along great with my Cichla (so far) he swims right along with the pack! Crenicichla are just one of the few fish i haven't really researched in depth, and to me...researching, and learning about the fish i keep is just as much fun as watching em grow. :headbang2Thanks again!
