he will be moved to one of those 55 penuts talking about, untill hes about 12-13 inches or so, then to the 150.

That looks exactly like my guy when I first got him, mine has colored up a little more since coming home. I was also told Venezuelan Pike.

I got my 4"-ish one for $9.99 so you got a good deal minus the ick, mine was healthy for that price.

Maybe they are distant cousins.

Here is my guy now, but it's coloring looked just like yours the first day.

yeah, mines colored up quite a bit. hes not shiny like yours though, but hes got a lot of red on his fins, and even purple?!?!
