From those pictures though it looks like you got two males...hahaha. Hope that doesn't turn out to be the case, or that they get in more later.

One of them has a LOT more spots than the other... hopefully this means they will be different sexes (I think all 3 pics above are of the same pike). The larger one with less spots hides a lot more than the smaller one with more spots. They both ate a feeder comet or two today. I'm hoping they'll start taking fd krill and market shrimp like my gar do soon.

very nice pikes. i dont think ive seen that species of pike in any of my ventures to stores. you got them for $10 each? thats a deal.

Good looking pikes. I hope to get one eventually, when I get some money...but I have a list of fish for that.

They are definitely shapin up to be anthurus. Gorgeous pikes for sure, probably one of my fav. of the Saxatilis. Absolutely beautiful.

Might even have a male/female combo there. That one with the less spots seems to have the start of a clear streak in the dorsal. . . good sign.

The one really has a nice dark stripe from nose to tail. The other doesn't seem to have much of a stripe at all, but has a whole lot more spots.

So does that clear streak in the dorsal mean its likely a female? It shows up a lot better in person than in that picture, too.

Generally yesh, as most of the time it gradually becomes more intense or white. Its not fail proof though, so don't rely on it for sexing. Another thing to watch is growth, males normally grow faster.
