New Pike ID

Hello everyone, I just got a new pike and need held finding out what species. This is the second time that I have had a pike, the first one was years ago. The lfs only had it marked as a pike cichlid, actually 2 different lfs had the same but neither could tell me what it is. I was finally able to get a couple of pretty good pictures, I thought that it was a female because it had a pink stomach but no dorsal spot so? Anyway it likes to stay close to my bichir, but it's more out in the open. My managuense would try to pick at it but it's constantly being chased by my female JD.

Looks kind of like a saxatallis (may be spelled wrong) to me, a good clue would be how much you paid for him though. If it was around or under 20$ its probably a sax.

Actually I paid $9, it was on sale at another lfs for $20, same kind of pike.

So if it's a saxatillis or belly crawler what is the max size because I was told 12".

Sorry posted a blank and wont let me edit, yes it will get around 12 inches if saxatillis. I dont really know any of the common names for the pikes just the scientifics or things like atabapo red which are locality specie. Id go with sax though, better more close up pics would help
