You got me on the lents, I was like WTF! That's the great thing about Uruguay Crenicichla, they eat pellets right away, all of them. Yep, leaving Nov 29th, still have spots left .Ken

I was thinking I may get some wheels spinning! sorry about that

I would say to anyone that is on the fence, take a trip to Uruguay! The people (especially Felipe and co.), the food and the fish are all amazing - not to mention everything else that is going on there!

No kidding! I was super confused about the lents at first. Way to pull a quick one on all of us.

Awesome shots as always Ray! Absolutely loving them! Bout time we managed to snag an awesome photographer that is also an avid Crenicichlaholic! :D

BTW...those lents wouldn't happen to be the Rio Negro ones that John currently has are they? ;) They look awefully familiar. Keep a hold on them, they do turn out to be absolutely awesome! :D

Thanks so much for the good feedback, I still have lots to learn and improve on, but it feels good to know that it's getting better! You can thank Chaitika for pointing me in the right direction photo wise :headbang2

As for the Lents, I got 'em in Florida on the way home, saw them in a tank and couldn't pass them up, I didn't even think to ask the origin, I was just awestruck that I was getting them! I really don't have any plans to let em go. . . once summer starts, I have an RO unit with their name on it and a MAJOR feeding program as well.

More pics to come as they get more comfortable!

I'm thinking you should change your avatar to one of those pictures of the lents you took. ;) BOOOM BABY! :D

They do indeed look to be Rio Negro lents. Very very cool lents to say the least. Looking forward to seeing them full grown! :D

Whats the matter??? Don't you like my Tetra??? I haven't gotten the right shot of them yet, I am SURE that they will indeed be my avatar, when the right shot shows up!

I am also looking forward to seeing them grown!

Thanks again for the comments

They are pretty amazing (those are Acestrorhynchus right). . . for tetras :) I brought back three of them (Oligosarchus - very similar) at 3"-4", they hit pellets with gusto 20 minutes after being introduced to a tank! I bet the largest has grown nearly an inch in the week and a half since we've been back. . . .WHAT a pig!
