new pikes tomorrow

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey Ray! How are the new Cincta? We had two new 4" greens a few weeks ago, very skinny, didn't eat, didn't make it.... Our 12"+ Peruvian Red female cincta is lookin great, sometimes a deep burgandy on her back, "tiger stripes" come & go!

Temps in Colorado have been mid to upper 90's for several days, will continue for a few more days. Too damn hot for me!!! Hope to see you next year @ ACA Indy.

 Our summer temps could rival ANY of the warm states highs, especially this year ;)

Hey, heatwaves don't count. :banhim:

We are even getting it here in the Northwest as well ... it was 74F today, ye gawds it's hot out!!! :WHOA::cry::irked:

 Nice! I will let this go. . .

Cincta have all survived the night, during the day today they polished off about 100 various livebearers and cherry shrimp, that was good news. Ich hasn't gotten worse, maybe pics tomorrow. These ones range from 4" to just over 5" I would guess, I haven't actually measured them. Sorry to hear that you lost yours Jon, I hope to have better luck.

I really am game for Indy next year, even if I have to make the trip myself. I am kicking myself for missing it this year!

What are you using to knock out the ich? Just got done with a week of the ol' high heat and a touch of salt for my pikes myself.

Salt, heat and a little "blue s**t" to help the cycle along :D The water is murky (from the blue stuff) now, but, I think I can still get a couple shots later, water change first. . .

Good luck big pic. Glad to see another manitobain on here. Best of luck

Finally got them looking a little better, most of the Ich is gone. A couple pics, sorry about the messy tank, it's bare bottom and just a hospital tank, so, not great for photos, but, you will get the idea. Please tell me what you think. . .

Not great for pics my arse!!!

They look good in the pics. Cinctas have the greatest tail pattern of any pike I think. Awesome fish.
