Live Foods: Check

We'll see if we can get these babies colored up!!! I'm thinkin this summer I'm going to set up a pond outside and see if RO, low hardness, and sunlight will help out their coloration. I have a hunch it will. :)

We were discussing why these don't seem to color up in captivity. Here's a large wild caught that Rapps posted.

Overall the fish's body is not very red but the head is quite colorful.
 
Mark, I think that one is a male, can't see the dorsal to tell if there is a splotch in it or not. Either way, if I can get mine to look half that good I'll be happy! LoL!
