Haha yeah the tank used to be completely empty except for water gravel and fish but then i realized that that was why the fish were so skiddish. I just redecorated everything last night and am really happy with the outcome and the piranhas behavior is completely different. This is a 55 gallon tank. And im gonna wait maybe a month or 2 and then keep maybe 4 or 5 if they dont kill each other before then. Thanks for everyones responses.
well since you have a little bit of time i would look for a 150 gallon. you can get them for 150$ when u have time to look around. especially if u can get it from pa. you need more air stones. well idk i can't identify one in your tank. and they like the water movement. if your going broke trieng to feed them buy beef heart. great alternative to feeders and alot cheaper.
Thanks alot for your advice instantthc. I will start looking for a 150 gallon and I have 1 airstone in that tank but I have another one that I can set up right now.
IMO i dont really think an airstone is needed, a little bit of water movement is all you need. As far as over stocking i would recommend no more then 3 in the 55 if you want to raise them to there full size.If you get a 150 you could put all 9 in there and it would be a little tight but deff doable. Nice tank tho
