I’ve been removing uneaten food with plant tongs instead of a siphon is this ok. I’m feeding shrimp.
Whatever works to remove uneaten food bruh...without losing fingers of course
How big is the tank, and do you have any kind of filtration or water change routine in place with the shrimp diet?
Tongs should be good as long as pieces are big/easy enough to grab. The siphon may be better for smaller bits but the important part is that you’re getting the uneaten stuff out.
My only suggestion is the dim the lights a bit. Piranhas don’t have dilating pupils, so bright lights are extra painful for them. You’ll get better activity with dimmer lighting.
