You would be surprised how most fish fail to eat in captivity for a long time due to their picky attitude. There have been numerous cases for discus to starve themselves even up to 3 months. Vanimate even reported his datnoid apparently did not eat for 8 months.

Hey hes probably just settling down.. give him some more time.. plus Piranhas dont die with just one week of starving.. i was starving mine for abt 27 days to trying to get it to eat pellets.. didnt even look thin in the end!! i just felt too sorry and gave fish again!

another guy i know moved his rhom and it didnt eat for almost 4 months so it appears you know very little about rhoms
wow after reading that thread, i realize i didnt know as much as i thought i did, sorry alex i just never had a rhom starve itself it must suck
