Ok so some new pix of my GATF. He's still only about 6.5" but I think he's growing evenly. By what I mean is that he's not getting longer and then bulking up but he's bulking up as he's growing that's why he's growing so slow.

I've been toying with getting rid of him but every time I get good pics of him I want to keep him. I just need to get some kind of tankmates with him to possibly train him off live.

enjoy.

P.S. I love the teeth. IMO GATF teeth are the meanest teeth in the fish world... With armatus being a close second but GATF show all there teeth all the time.

He looks good Bill. I agree that a tankmate or two would do him some good.

Nice... Love the Jaw sstructure on the Goliaths:drool:

Definitely an evil species!

Nice fish!

Indeed If he stays with me and grows I'll be very happy. But he sure does grow slow

I know but I'm not sure what. I'm thinking some bottom dwellers. that stay smaller. and maybe two others that will swim around more.

I know they are just bad @ss looking in the face. All the teeth show with the mouth shut it's just insane.

lovely GATF.
too bad they grow so slow...

You'r telling me but If you can get one to grow out for you that IMO is a greater thing then just having the money to buy one in the first place. It take a lot of time for these boys to grow. And it makes me wonder how long they really live. If you think about the growth rate seen in the home aquarium and the max size in the wild OMG they will live to be over 100.

and I hear that when they get old they loose there teeth and swim to the deep holes in the congo to die.
