You'r telling me but If you can get one to grow out for you that IMO is a greater thing then just having the money to buy one in the first place. It take a lot of time for these boys to grow. And it makes me wonder how long they really live. If you think about the growth rate seen in the home aquarium and the max size in the wild OMG they will live to be over 100.

and I hear that when they get old they loose there teeth and swim to the deep holes in the congo to die.

yeah...i agree.
but i dont think they grow as slow in the wild.
something tells me its captivity that makes them like that.

In my book about them that is what the author said he said that they had acctually caught some GATF that were missing a lot of teeth on the egdes of large deep pools and that's what he thought they did when they were about to die.
