New planted tank.

I am going to start another planted tank. It is going to be a 20g long. This is how the tank looks like right now. I have a 3 inch fahaka puffer and a 5 inch NTT there(The NTT is in there temporary until his new home is cycled). When my puffer gets around 5 inches he will be moved to a 40g breeder. I am using silica sand so I bought 5 packs of root tablets and a bottle of Kent pro-plant. I will be putting the filters back where they belong. Just got lazy and left them on the front of the tank after cleaning them. In both filter there is a ton of java moss. They actually help the filter trap debris that gets into it. There really isn't anything in there yet except java moss. My uncle is going to give me some of his plants. Going to order some plants online later tonight.

What plants should I use to put behind my drift wood?

Hey would it be okay if I bought a bag of Eco Complete planted aquarium substrate and mixed it with the silica sand?
