sure why not! you'll just have a sump that's 50% of the tank's volume!
 
x2 on the dutch tank suggestion... if you really wanna get down, do a tonina/star plant setup. there are too many styles and only so much available space and money...

nothing wrong with that! i had a 135g sump on my old 360g... my biggest tank before that was the size of that sump!
 
I think some rams would look sweet in that tank. And maybe shrimp
