Very neat! Get some Pomacea bridgesii there, Harley.:D Their various colors can add contrast to your greenery.:)

Very Nice... what fish are you getting for those tanks?

The large tank is currently stocked with Sternopygus macrurus and Acanthodoras spinosissimus. I am now looking for altum angels for the 220, but am having a hard time finding any. The 40 gal will serve as quarantine and later as grow-out tank.

what did you use to attach the plants to the wood? i dont see any fishing string

1. Plants are already shipped to HarleyK attached on driftwoods.
2. Plants are attached with a transparent string or the string is simply hidden from view.

1. HarleyK harvests his own driftwood :D
2. Jackpot.

i also just read up on the method of drilling a hole and feeding the roots through.

That's a pretty non-reversible technique. If it doesn't work out with the plants you have ruined a fine piece of driftwood... I prefer fishing line

I did read one of your previous posts about it and wondered surely those aren't brigs. Canas are often confused with brigs. Brigs have smooth and well-defined whorls on their shells whereas canas have it rough. The sutures of the brig shells is 90 degrees angle while the canas' are less than that. Harley, yours could have been Pomacea canaliculata or Pomacea insularum. It is unlikely of the brigs to eat plants unless they were starving already in which case they'll simply choose the plants with soft foliage but that rarely happens.

Any idea as to where to get brigs?

Thanks  But I am first trying to get them from local vendors or LFSs to avoid shipping fish during the Winter months. But I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Those are both beautiful tanks. Very nice work man:)

niice tank... how many pounds of substrate did you use?? i have 200g sitting in my garage that i want to potentially set up as a semi-planted tank... i wanted to figure out the costs before i start workin on it

PM msjinkzd. She has hundreds of these and has permits to sell them. You could pick a choice of chestnut, jade, blue, ivory, magenta, gold and everything else.
