I find it hard to believe because as prevalent as cameras are now, I have only seen pics of 2 even close to that size. One was black and white (and about 60 years old), and the other was at what appeared to be fish a collection spot. None from home aquaria that I have seen. And im pretty sure one of thoses was an A. Hystrix if not both. Also a 3' SL adonis would have been close to 5' with streamers. Lastly I find it hard to believe anyone on here wouldnt have taken a pic of a 5' pleco given the chance. But I guess when your 15 and you work at a shop where full grown acanthicus species is common place I see your hesitation.
A) what kind of 2-3' foot plecos are you so used to seeing. Because I only know of 3 species know to actually reach 3' and I know for a fact you havent seen a 3' Titanic Panaque.
B) you stated in an earlier post that 3' is "actively" achieved in home aquaria. But now your changing that too?
Also where is this shop you work at, because I would love to see some monster plecos
