New poly question

How long does it usually take for a newly introduced poly to start eating? jw thanks!

Most start eating within the first week, even the wild caught ones. The trick is to figure out what they want to eat if they're picky.

I usually don't feed for the first 24 hrs then i feed what they were being fed at the store.If i don't know what they were eating i start them off on bloodworms-Anne

Agreed, usually after the first day or so you could try to feed it. Ive personally never had a new poly go more than a couple days without eating after being introduced to the tank.

depends on what kind of poly. my sens never had a problem when i newly bought them. they eat the next day. very different from the ornates. it took more than a week before i actually see them eat.

I fed my the next day and they always ate but I have had some that were so active after a few hours in the tank I just fed them and they ate.

Thanks everyone! I just got home from work and tried feeding some shrimp pellets and he a a couple, my ghost shrimp are still there tho lol
