growth rate is very slow not even close to a endli had 30 come and go and none reached a ft in over 8 months.

Thanks again. I just got lucky with having a good lfs near me. Walked in one day and asked about polypterus and I was told I could special order anything I wanted. He even took time out right then and called the distributor and he listed everything that they had, size, type and price. He said they had one "Guinean" but neither knew exactly what type it was, so I just took a chance and ordered it. Ended up also getting a Delhezi and a Palmas Polli.
