It's a lap it just looks different because it's lighter and it's patterns stand out on it's light body. While yours is settled in darker and it's patterns are more balanced.

I've seen it before on here and different forums places trying to sell small CB laps as kolibas. I have a feeling its just a selling ploy on the wholesalers part. I think this is the 3rd time I've seen it happen and 2 times (online) it said Koliba bichir on the glass.

Either way its a great looking little lap! I've never seen a lap with external gills still that's so awesome. I hope some LFS near me gets them in haha could you ask which wholesaler they are from by any chance? I have access to a wholesale license in the family lol

Its a sign it is very young, they lose them over time, my Del only recently lost his and he's 5 inch now
