New Polypterus: 12" Ornate

How wide is the body on your ornate? How wide can they get? I have 3 rope fish that get long, but stay about a half inch thick. How thick do these guys get?

Unfortunately, this one jumped ship about a month ago. It was 18" at the time and was probably a couple inches thick. It was a favorite. I just got another one. This one is about 9". Pics later.
