Aren't ornates really aggressive to have

they aren't overly aggressive but they can be aggressive much more so then most other polys lj or uj.

Any polys added a pecking order will be setup. This leads to some aggressive behavior. Especially adding one by one.

Ornates are a bit extra though lol. But I agree with twentyleagues .

Agreed. But not sure that all ornates are that agressive or that its at all sizes. When i got mine she was less than 3” and the shyest, most nervous fish in the tank for years. As shes grown shes gotten more and more aggressive. When she was at around 6”, i putin a couple of 4-5” catfish. She killed both of them in under half an hour. Now shes around 10” and wrecked a lungfish a couple of days ago and a few weeks earlier she killed a snakehead larger than she is.

Miss the days when she was tolerant.

Wow she managed to take down a snakehead. Thats imptessive

my 1st ornate I got at 4" and attacked another fish within 15 seconds of being in the tank but after that was shy, my current ornate s 7" and hasn't shown any aggression so it can be a crap shoot
