You mentioned wanting to make the walls look like rocks. Since in this case the weight would be trivial, after the sealing simply silcone real rock 'stepping stones' like can be found in a home and garden place. They're flat on one side so should be pretty simple. I've seen some at my local lowes that I thought would be perfect for a tank back and considered using them myself but mines just a conventional tank and the combined weight concerned me. I really like the idea of indoor ponds. When I get my own place in a year or so I may have to make me one.
