New Predators Movie *spoiler alert*

haven't seen, but heard it kind of sucked, which is what i expected.

part 1 is a classic, 2 was meh,........... the rest have been horrific. i won't even rent this one, i gave up on them,..... will watch it when it comes on cable or something
 
I would like to see a prequel set in MesoAmerica or something 500-1000 yrs ago either with aliens too (like some of those flashbacks from AvP) or just pred vs Aztec warrior or something similar. I would probably pay to see a predator reimagining of AnnieHall tho, and bi**h about it afterwards.

REAL fans of the franchise will like it. For all my complaining, I did. My expectations are too high but are always tempered with a little doubt. It was just a good B-movie. Watched the original and pred2 last night in mancave while I tinkered with my tanks. Arnold is just awesome. I used to think he was just a yoked up guy that had marginal acting abilities, but I am now thinking that for the genres he worked in he was near perfect. No Oscar for Arnold, but I will always love the Conans, Red Sonja, Commando, Terminator 1 & 2, PREDATOR, Running Man, Red Heat, Eraser, Total Recall, Raw Deal, Kindergarten Cop, Twins, and even End of Days and 6th Day. Have ALL on DVD or BR. He was the perfect billy bada$$. Wish there were others like him.

I consider myself a "real" fan of part 1, doesn't mean I have to like every sequal or prequal they slaughter

I'm a movie fan in general, I love watching movies but , the Predator movies suck besides the first one. that's just the truth wether you're a diehard or not. but it's my opinion,.........

I had a coworker who was a comic book fan like myself. and he sounded almost disgusted by the fact that I didn't like the Catwoman movie with Hally Barry. he said how can I be a fan of comic book characters and not like that movie,........... dude, just because I'm a fan don't mean I gotta like every heaping pile of poo they try to make

I agree but maybe because I went in not expecting too much.With the whole Predator thing I get to enjoy an awesome looking creature do it's thing....hunt and kill and just ****.I don't know what else everyone was expecting.....Ditto on Swarzenegger with the exception of Twins whch I did'nt care for and Kindergarten Cop which I did'nt care to see.

what? twins was one of his best movies i think.

i'm a huge arnold fan when it comes to his movies. he is one of very, very few actors that can do a good comedy movie, a good action movie and a good horror movie. most actors are only good at one genre

Maybe so but I'm not big on comedy films.I dont think I've ever gone to watch one at a theater.....Back to Predator,I would have liked to see the movie take place on the creatures home planet instead of some planet used as a hunting preserve.
 
In all honesty, we all should go see it so they have a reason to continue with the franchise. It can only bomb so many times before people say it's dead. I'd rather see crappy movies and hope for an amazing one to pop up again then see the franchise completely die.

It probably raked in enough money to warrant another installment which I will gladly go and see....They have to pick up on the way that AVPR ended.
