New Predrilled tank... confusion

He said it's 51.5" long, 20" wide, and 24" high. So, (51.5 x 20 x 24) / 231 = 107 gallons. Pretty sure if he measured right that would have been sold as a 110 Gallon tank. I have never seen those dimensions before, but I was just going off of what he said. I was also basing the wet/dry size off of 1/3 of the tank size, so he would probably want at least 35 gallons, and the nearest (common tank size) to that is a 40 gallon breeder. I got mine for $40 when Petco did there $1/gallon sale.

ah gotcha i missed that part... just looking at the tank however it looks a little smaller, to me more along the lines of a 55galon, but i very well may be wrong.

and as for the size of the pump i completely agree, 1/3 the size sounds adequate.

I'm pretty sure that's a 75g. The top ~6" of the tank doesn't hold water, and the footprint is very similar to a 75g.

Just make sure you do the math to make sure you don't overfill it No one likes power outages, but losing your power plus flooding your room makes it that much worse.

If you need help with seeing how much it will fill your 20 if the power goes out send me the footprint of the 20 and I'll calc it for you.

DIY. I made it with leftover plumbing parts from building an upstairs bathroom at my old house. Rio makes a rotating spray assembly, but it isn't the same as what I have.
