Just a quick note on a new mini-project I am taking up (has been on the shelf for quite some time; back when Richard and I went to the 2010 Gar Conference in Lousiana). The opening photo is posted below the rest of the series up through today is on primitivefishes.com, and further updates will be on the site with occasional updates here on MFK (i have more versatility with posts on my own site, but will of course update here when i can)!

Phase 1: "Gar de Frost" - ~14" alligator gar head going off ice after 2 years...

Lol that head is not from a 14" gar, the head itself is14"

im guessing it came off something in the 5' range... as usual you have my attention... are you going to clean the skull and use it as decor in your big gar tank? because while slightly morbid.. that would be cool..
