If you do it fishless, you won't have the hassle of solid waste, until you add actual fish...just a thought, and it works great...
Every one of my systems were matured fishless, I was worried about cross contamination so unless it was an upgraded filter I didn't "seed" from another tank/pond.
I've been reading up on the kaldness Media and it seems to be custom made for the vortex or, any fluidized bed type fitration system. I like the concept of being moved around in the flow of water, to constantly be creating new and "More Hungry" bacteria and knocking loose the old "Less Hungry" bacteria feeding the new. Seems like somebody had been doing their homework!
The site I was reading about it on had it listed for 75.00 per 5 liters

Yeah, I 'm betting it will go fine brother...Yanbbrox;2177440; said:Full filter system install tomorrow(apart from the media), if all goes well it shouldn't take more than a day, the first vortex is key.
No doubt it won't go well and I'll be posting a picture of one pipe but time will tell.....
