Very interesting. It seems everyone is switching to these guys. How hard are they to get an actual colony going? I might breed some for my tegus and leos(also a breeder of mealies currently).

whatever, VF tried to get me to do this forever. Let me get this straight, I bought 10 madagascar roaches just to study them and what not, they are still doing fine and breeding, then I feel bad feeding them to the herps or Ts. THe adults anyways. Check it out, I would reach in and grab the most pissed off snake or lizard you could find, held almost all my Tarantulas many times including the ones known for being the most dangerous. I will choke out a pitt bull and bite an angry pussy cat in the face if need be. I placed with tongs, one of the big ass roaches on my counter, stared at it for an hour, touched it, it hissed, touched it again,it said please dont touch me butt hole, 3 hours later I finaly placed it in my hand, it wouldnt let go, i dont know what I was expecting to happen, lazers shoot out of its butt, fangs maybe, crawl into my skin and into my stomach, I got no clue, I will hold them now. Do I need to go through this with a diferent even scarier looking type,,,,,,,,NO,,,,,,,,,ooooohhhhhhhh the horor!!!!!!!!

your not different, Ive got 6 tarantulas and have kept pedes and scorpions. Cockaroaches are yucky. Bugs are cool to me too. Certain roaches however are real gross looking. The big ones that run real fast and try to hide under your clothing or up your pants, yeah real cool, no, I scream.
