new puffer. i think its a figure 8 or dwarf. lfs doesnt know.

Yes, that's the substrate I have for my F8's tank. Aragonite sand works well too. Did you read my article?

All my puffers have ate like pigs right out of the bag, but each one has a different personality I guess.
 
i picked up some frozen raw shrimp. he picked at it right out of my fingers, ate quite a bit then ingored it. i think he is full.
 
I went into work this morning to feed him. He didn't make it. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong. He was eating shrimp on Friday like a pig. I checked the water and everything was fine

Fish adapt quite well to salinity changes.
