Riight... I take Tuesdays off to do WC on a 90g, 125g, 29g, 15g & 20g (those are just the FW/BW tanks). I do a minimum of 75% on all of them (90% on the 90g discus tank) & clean the substrate weekly. The 3 SW tanks are easier.

Why is the SW easier...living coral reef? Does that take care of a lot of bacteria?

Partially... protein skimmer, deep sand bed & refugium takes care of the rest. Nitrate aroun 1 all the time.

You take days off to do WCs? :screwy::ROFL::WHOA:

I run my own home grooming business & work when I want. I also stay home to answer a hotline that day. Doing water changes that day leaves my weekends free & makes sure they get done weekly. I'm really lucky to have this life--Hubby calls me a "Lady of Leisure".

Gotta watch that getting distracted while changing water.Lots of people(myself included)made at least one mess that way!

Oh, well if you work at home then you can do whatever you want, considering you manage yourself :D I have two dogs and a cat. One of my dogs is a siberian husky puppy with two different colored eyes ;)

Pythons are great! Only times i don't use it for w/c is emptying water out of my 55 and eventually 150 because a powerhead hooked up to a hose out the window works much better and fertilizes the grass. But filling up tanks is much easier. I used to take a hose and hook it up to an outside faucet and run it through the window to fill my tanks, but python works just as fast and is much easier to work with for filling.

i just wish i had more water pressure my python doesn't do the greatest job cleaning the gravel the suction just isn't there due to the low water pressure so when i want to do the gravel really good i just do it the old bucket way then fill with the python

I don't work out of my house, I go to my customer's homes to groom their pets. I just schedule around WC/Hotline day.

I didn't think you could get warm water from an outside faucet. I drain my tanks into the basement floor drain.
