New Rainbow added.....and a sick channa pulchra problem!

Hi everyone i added 2 Rainbows to the tank with my channa pulchra here is a pic of one of em.
but the real reason i made this thread is cause while at the LFS i spoted another channa pulchra that didnt seem right like he had some bite marks or some kind of illness.(pics added might not be clear enough but i tryed).
is there any treatment for this or is he a goner. my friend has him and he put him in a 20 gallon tank by himslef to see if he can find a way for the those marks to go so What do you guys think can it be treated?

nice rainbow mate ,good pickup , the pulchra could be one of two things ,could be a heater burn in which case keep water quality up and add bit of melafix , is that the only mark on him near his tail ? if there are any other patches on his body then were looking at a condition some channa seam to develop where the skin seams to rot / drop off , someone on here has had experiance with this ,not shure exactly what it is called but iam shure the outlook isnt good , hopfully someone with a bit more info on this will chip in here

just to update, i the condition i talked about is Viral hemorrhagic septicemia and will result in death if thats what it is ,also highly infectious so keep in the hospital tank just in case and use seperate nets ect to main tank ,just one of the reasons for the upcomming snakehead import ban throughout europe

hi timmy to be completely honest with you i don't know but i would think its fungus or some sorts but i wouldn't worry about it since this pic was taking 2 days ago and now hes all fine moved him to a 50 gallon tank with the other rainbow and hes better now added some meds and hiding places no more white lips .
and to update bout the pulchra hes fine the red spot rash looking part looks all white now not fungus like but healing like, hes swimming around a lot and eating so im hoping thats a good sign.
