Why not move your new fish directly into the 210, if I thought multiple moves killed my last dovi, I would not relive that scenario with my new fish.

I don't think that multiple moves killed him. I did say "maybe it was the stress of the move" which is in reference to the 5 hour drive from SF to my house. My point is, I don't know what killed him. I thought I mentioned that I want to make sure my 210 is ready in my initial post. The big one may have died because something in the 210's water killed him and a pike I had (still not sure what). The stress of the big move may have made him more suseptable. Putting the new one in is risking the same. I would rather be safe than sorry, and because he is only 11 inches he is fine for a couple of weeks in the 75 while some cons inhabit the 210 to ensure it is ready. Putting him in the 210 until I am sure it is ready would be irresponsible.

I don't know what happened to the other one. It must have been the stress of the move or something. I never got him eating and he acted like he was getting ammonia poisoning. I tested the water and it was perfect. Maybe he was just really old?

I was going by your post that the 210 had perfect water.

That is true, but the fish as it says in my post are acting like they are getting ammonia poisoning. I just don't want to risk it until I am sure.

Seed that 210 with Dr Tims Nitrifying Bacteria

It really does work, used it on my 150-gallon when I lost 3 exspensive koi in the tank.

After seeding with this stuff, all the other fish I ever put in the tank were fine.

Even after thinking my 150 was cycled, all 3 of the koi died, showing signs of ammonia posioning.

Its a little exspensive but worth it.

Thanks, I'll give that a look.
