Tomocichla asfraci
Heros Rotkeil Severum
Honduran Redpoint leucistic
Geophagus Iporangensis
vieja Argentea
vieja Bifasc.
vieja Synsp.
vieja Hetero.
vieja Fenes.

all at the 2.5-3" range, going in a 125g and will be adding some clown loaches, of course! let me know what you think about this mix

Thats a big order for one tank. Your bio load might affect the tank depending on how many of each you purchased. You picked out some nice ones though.

If you have other tanks with room for some of these then I would introduce them into your 125 over the next month or two. That is a lot of fish to put in one tank all at the same time. Test your water frequently for the next two weeks.

tank has lots of filtration and has had fish in it that are now out due to new order.only nine fish total in 125g and all are small, I have a good feeling about it, although you never know. I saw people remarking that vieja can often times be very aggressive, but I have seen some nice community tanks. hoping that 9 fish with bare tank other then gravel will help lead to less aggression

That mix won't last long term. You have quite aggressive fish (the Vieja.) along with semi aggressive (Tomocichla and HRP) along with mild (Heros and ipo), and vieja hate vieja unless it's REALLY overcrowded.

I've tried the Vieja community, and it works for a while, but when they hit the 6"+ crap hits the fan.

Ditto. Your plan may work for a while, but long-term the prognosis is not good. Double the size of your tank and the chance of success improves.

yea, well I would like to and I think I have at least a year before I will need to worry.

your vieja's may be fine depending on the attitude of the fish. I purchase 5 vieja from Rapps about a year ago and now only have 3. One, a regani, was killed and the blackbelt ended up getting sick. The three that i have, fenes - zonatus - synspilus, get along pretty well. Your tank size may be the only downside that i see considering viejas get pretty big.

i think one year is overly optimistic to be honest...
that's a lot of fish.
viejas grow fairly fast too.
my male argentea is a solid 8"... i got him at around 6" 2-3 months ago and he's mean as heck

i will keep you all posted. no blackbelt at least, they seem to be very aggro. but I know any fish can be aggressive, just depends on the fish

whats interesting is that I get practically flamed for putting these fish together, but then I see community tanks with a bunch of different parachromis, or amphilophus cichlids and they seem to work out just fine.
