i have recently bought a Lipor Snakehead along with Channa Pulchra and a Blue Blerehi. The Lipor Snakehead is a new, rare species that has know apparent scientific name or size.

I was wondering if anyone else has or has heard of this form of snakehead and has some valuable information about them (eg size, temperment etc.)

thanks for your help, Danny

out of interest what tank or tanks do you keep these guys in and planted either real or plastic is much better than bare

it is about 3 ft long by 14" in depth and 13" in height but this is only temperary as they will be going in a 4 ft tank with 2 Oscars when they reach an in-edible size

may i suggest not keeping them with oscars,2 oscars also in a four foot is not a good idea, i know ive kept a pair of oscars in a five foot and that was hair raising enough, your best keeping them in species tanks, pulchra needing to be kept without a heater as there sub tropical..

aren't snakeheads aggressive towards oscars?

is the blue blerehi sub-tropical as well because he has found himself a home between the heater and the glass of the tank

it is actually the other way around barbuto as we were gutted to wake up this morning to find that our scar had eaten our first blue blerehi snakehead

Hi,we need pics thanks.

:chillpill:ive already said after a couple of days ill take a few pics of the snakeheads once they have settled down and are at their most impressive

as far as i know blerehi need temps around 22-28c....are they in with the oscars now?maybe thats why its hiding, having them all in a nice crammed tank of plants they should feel comfortable and stop hiding
