new ray need id and help

i got this in as a retic, it looks very different and is larger then my other rectics....also the eyes seem to have lids/ridges...i think that the things wrong with it are from shipping...but i still need to ask...there is white stuff on the tail and one eye looks blood filled...thanx for the help and id...i have prazi pro and salt in the tank now, also the tank is dark...


i put a few pics of my other 2 females...their all females like i needed them to be and asked for...first 2 pics are the retic females, all the others are the mytsery ray

the blood filled eye is the rays right eye, but the head on shot it would be the left eye looking at it...

the red eye is damage from shipping yes, the tail is fungus from poor water conditions, probably cause by ammonia from shipping bags or just poor fish keeping on the sellers part.

keep its water PERFECT, the salt should help alot. keep stress to an absoulte minimum as small retics are fragile enough without problems from shipping.

yes its a retic. the larger size is because its grown.

the water is perfict and i will keep it that way....sure it is a retic? i have 3 other retics and none of them have the "sunkin" in eye like this one and there is no pattern like my other 3...

I would say retic also. It looks a lot like the pair I had before. They weren't heavily patterned like most of the retics I see on here. I would chalk up the sunken eye to shipment/stress/malnutrition/etc... and should get better with time.

damn thought i had something diff...still it is a female so with its lack of pattern mixed with my males decent pattern maybe the offspring will have a unique pattern...all three females are lager then my male...the male is 4" and the females are 5-6" and the largest one is 6-7" closer to 7"...

Glad you got your females in ok. Hope they all start eating for u and they all look retic to me also. Did you check them really close for lice and everything? With that bare bottom tank they will be easy to see.

Definitely retic, get some binox which is nitrofurazone to put in the water or Jungal fungus eliminator which is almost the exact same as jungle binox. That ray will probably die even with clean water and salt. The red eye sounds like an infection as well.
