So I recently managed to find a bargain tank in good condition which will be the largest I've owned so far. It's a Juwel bow front with a volume of 500litres (132 US gallons) and is 5x2x2'. I just need some advice as to how many red bellies I can shoal together comfortably and filtration advice. This won't be sumped and will run on the internal filtration and an AC110. Will that be enough or should I hang on another AC110?

Piranha are very messy eaters and more filtration will help. In a tank that size id aim for an adult group of 6-8 and would start with 8-10 juvies. Expect a loss or 2 and start with a bigger group since it can be tough to add piranha to an established shoal.

I wouldn't go for more than 6, but like others have said, start with a few more if you by them really small. They are pretty ruthless towards each other when they are below 3" in my experience.

I would look at adding a canister filter rather than another HoB. Even if it's not an Fx5 but a smaller one combo with an AC110 should do the trick. They are very messy and get worse as they get older.

Update.

Picked up the tank today for a steal as the woman was moving house today and needed it gone. Still has gravel and stuff in it and need a right good clean (probably going to resell it myself just to be same as well) but so far I'm pretty pleased with it's condition. Will make an awesome home for a red belly shoal :)

Looks good. Are the braces built with a bow or does it look like it happened over time? If you run full length lighting it can weaken and cause bowing in plastic bracing from the heat which could be a concern down the road but they look symmetrical in pics and likely came that way
