Hey all.

Just wanted to show you guys/girls my new NextReef "Monster" Chemical Reactor that I put on my 300 Gallon "in wall" tank. Its called "The MR1 Monster Chemical Reactor" and holds a gallon of media in each side. It's rated for freshwater tanks up to 1200 gallons. I have a AquaClear 800 power head, 400gph, hooked to it and I'm running the reactor in a series. It really is overkill but this is the Monster site. My tank is crystal clear! Enjoy the pics. :headbang2LOL

Very nice, no wonder your tank is crystal clear

Just looked it up, it is suprisingly inexpensive for such a nice looking unit. I might have to look into one of those later on.

Very nice!

By the way, what fish are you keeping in your sump?

Yeah, its real nice. It looks good as is made very well. It came with all the parts and depending on how you run it, all you need is the hose and media and its ready to go. The pump requirement is a little under estimated IMO. It say's up to a 200gph pump however, you have to factor in how high the head is. I'm also running a pre filter on the power head which also cuts down flow.

LOL, I sold a 75 gallon tank and had no place to put him. It's a F1 male dovii. He's a little room deprived right now, but he'll have a knew home soon..

I have both sides filled with charcoal right now. It took just what the discription said in the instructions, a gallon on each side. MONSTER REACTOR!!

That thing is SICK! What other kinds of media would you use in it (other than whatever the heck you want...)? Ammonia remover? Bio-media?
