That looks like a regular texas. Red texas are a cross of bp and texas, regular texas fade
Show me a regular Texas with that amount of red in it...
No it's not you can see the red in it its a unfaded Texas. That's not always the case you can use Midas RD midas rose queen mammon kkp and many more to make red Texas.

I'm not new to Texas at all this is my old Super ted Texas...

Im not questioning your knowledge on red texas. So dont get the wrong idea, it just looks like a regular texas imo. Regular texas can have a red undertone as well. And the most viable sources for creating a good rt are the product of tex x bp. Not sayin others wont do the trick but a good red texas will have a good balance of a fader x vieja x texas... If u look closely enough at these pictures u can see a reddish brown on these texas cichlids

Man that looks more like a fh then a rt

red texas and flowerhorn are similar. They're both hybrids and made in a similar fashion. BP X texas. A Bp has strong midas gene hence they they peel and why both faders and red texas peel into their "red" color.

With my Super red texas. I don't know how to make it but according to some breeders flowerhorn might have a mix to it to get the pearls and more red from a regular red texas cichlid.

If you search red texas to super ted texas not all of them look alike because some are made from red mammon to other superior fish to make them rather than bp.

Yeah- I guess I get what your trying to say. Honestly I don't agree w/ pretty much any of it. Regardless of the fish they use, your fish isn't a good example of what red Texas breeder is shooting for. It's a very nice fish respectfully, Its just lacking compared to what most would consider a "super red Texas"

It's very subjective and I don't have that fish anymore. I get what you are saying and not every red Texas will look alike just like any Flowerhorn. They're literally hundreds of different strains of flowerhorns and same as red Texas. Red Texas have low quality to high quality known as super red Texas. If people knew how to make red Texas look amazing many more would be sale and wouldn't cost so much.

To each their own really. Not here to discuss and side track what makes a red Texas or SRT.
